Hectic life, blahblah lot's of stuff going on blahblah you've all heard it before. But yeah, at the moment I'm working on several images at once. Mostly the prize commissions, but also some pics i never finished like this one. Tigress is badass!
I also made wallpaper versions if anyone is interested.
This is a very nice work of art indeed! There are so many positive factors that can describe this drawing. Allow me to start off with the proportioning, it's extraordinarily identical to the original design of the 3-D movie. Second, I would like to address the coloring, shading and lighting. These were all nicely executed to present a 3-Dimensional like depth perception. The colors blend well together and compliment the mood (not being to dark or too bright) The lighting near the back of her head and the side of her arm was a nice touch too might I add! And last but not least, the background. The way that you depicted a bustling ancient Chinese village at night with lights reflecting off of the water allowed you to play around more with the lighting options (not to mention that it also looks pretty and realistic as well). Now, I'm not exactly sure what you were seeking advice for improvement on (because they say that an artist can always improve) but that's a good thing because I would have a hard time talking about one thing in detail. I believe that if I were to say anything negative, it would be unnecessary and just plain old stupid. It would be nit-picking. All in all, this looks pretty awesome and I hope that you find this critique satisfying. Thank you for allowing me to do so and I wish you a Happy New Year!
The background is a single separate layer with a gaussian blur filter on it. It's a nice way to bring focus to the character and you don't need much detail on the background since it's all blurred.
This is a perfect preview for one of my upcoming chapters called "Red Dragon" for my story of Kung Fu Panda 3: The Path of The Rising Sun. The story focuses on Tigress, her life at the Bao Gu Orphanage where she befriends a 13 year-old black panther girl called Liu Zhang, as well as a cannibalistic and sadistic black panther named Jin Chow from Japan.
Jin Chow, who has killed the Japanese Emperor Sao Yin, and threatens the military stability of China by murdering its highest generals.
