Let me take you to Rio

I suddenly got the urge to draw Blu from Rio. So here he is!
I was actually planning on drawing a detailed background but during the whole drawing process I used an orange background so the blue would stick out more and be easier to see. And when I was finished with Blu i felt like I wanted to keep it orange since it makes such a nice combination of strong color and doesn't steal focus from him. This is one of those paintings that got out of hand. First I was meant to draw something simple but I just kept adding details so here it is. I'm very pleased with it since it's my first time drawing the character, also i think it's my first time drawing a bird like this. Enjoy!
